From the Railyard to Rehab
Before co-founding Poseidon Strength, Mark engineered a hydraulic system similar to what’s in our patented tech – designed to lessen the impact of freight rail cars while coupling together, where there’s little room for error.
Passionate about fitness, Mark had his lightbulb moment for a velocity-controlled strength and rehab device. A durable and robust hydraulic system capable of attenuating incredible forces while maintaining constant speed and eliminating stored energy in a simple, compact package.
TL;DR: ForceTrain® Technology – a barbell that can handle 1500 lbs of force production, then hover in place the instant user input stops.

Who we are
We're often asked, why the name Poseidon?
Aside from the name representing strength and perseverance, while paying ode to an Olympian God, Poseidon was embattled with himself. We know the mental strength needed to continually push one’s personal boundaries and feel nothing better embodies our pursuit to become the instrument for others to achieve success.
Plus, our ForceTrain Technology is a hydraulic system filled with, well, hydraulic fluid. Poseidon is the god of the sea…sea = fluid.
Okay, so why is Strength in the name?
No one wants to be injured. We all want to enjoy health and longevity while maintaining our training regimen, which typically focuses on strength movements. We fill the gap that exists between rehab and strength training. BECAUSE, rehab is strength training in the presence of pain/discomfort.
